It is so important to have another place in your life that allows you to escape your home for a few hours; this has been seen on so many television shows, like Central Perk in Friends or the Peach Pit in Beverly Hills 90210! Especially after the pandemic, most people know all too well the unpleasant feeling of being confined to your home. However, in a place like Denville, the downtown area offers numerous restaurants, cafes, and other establishments where you can work. There are the usual options, like Starbucks or the local library, but more specific to Denville are Bubble in Paradise, Sweet Vinyl, and DuJour Cafe.

Bubble in Paradise
Bubble in Paradise is a family owned shop in town that provides an array of boba drinks and food options. Located at 38 Broadway, they are open from 12 pm to 7:30 pm Tuesday through Sunday. Bubble in Paradise is the perfect spot to take a break from your house in the afternoon, providing tables and chairs where you can spend time answering emails, sipping a boba drink, and trying some of their delicious meals, like dumplings. Unique to Denville, this shop is a great option for anyone interested in tasting amazing Asian cuisine or finding a place to utilize as an “office” downtown!

Sweet Vinyl Cafe
Located on 23 Diamond Spring Avenue right off of Broadway, Sweet Vinyl is an ideal place for early birds and music lovers alike! If you are someone who prefers to get a head start on work, Sweet Vinyl opens at 8 am during the week and 9 am during the weekend, making it easy to accomplish your goals before lunchtime. Between virtual meetings and proposal write ups, Sweet Vinyl provides the ability to shop around for one of the biggest trends coming back today, records! The available records span over many music genres and decades of music. As for the cafe itself, baked goods, coffee, and more are available as you peruse the music selection or set up shop in the seating areas inside or outside.

DuJour Cafe
If you’re still looking for somewhere that opens even earlier, look no further! DuJour Cafe is a French style cafe that opens its doors at 7:30 am every day at 84 Broadway. Here, you can get a coffee, latte, bagel, crepe, croissant or even a lunch sandwich. The cafe has a great place to sit and eat and also work efficiently from your laptop while maintaining the illusion that you are on a Parisian vacation!
