It’s hard to live in the area without knowing about the Peer Hyatt Selling Team. Whether it’s their team’s smiling faces from a local billboard or their involvement in local events, they give it their all. Let’s get to know a bit more about them.

As long time Denville residents, what do you love most about helping clients find a home here?
Jen Hyatt – Remember Peer Hyatt Selling Team has seven realtors, so we sell as many homes in Greater Denville for our clients as we are buying for clients moving to or upgrading in the area. But, what we love most is the same whichever side of the transaction we are on, “promoting Denville for the unique town that it is to grow, nurture, motivate and inspire local families.”
You have a successful growing team – what do you look for when adding someone new? Is your team complete?
Bill Peer – Honesty, integrity, work ethic and an individual that is a Team player. Real Estate moves extremely fast in today’s world. We need people who can think on their feet, respond quickly, and help other teammates if two or three things need to get done at the same time. If we can add that special realtor that make our Team better, we certainly would, especially if it provided better service and value to our clients.
It is definitely a seller’s market. If someone is thinking about selling their home, what is the best way to get started?
Corinne Quinn – Speak to The Peer Hyatt Selling Team ahead of time. Let them know your goals, time frame etc. We can design a marketing plan tailored around that individual homeowner that will optimize a home’s value as well as maximize any time issues that may exist.
There are many real estate agents in the area – what sets you and your team apart from them?
Bill Peer – I would say our local knowledge and mastery of, not only Real Estate Law in New Jersey, but today’s technology and digital marketing platforms as well. Then of course there is the Golden Rule, we treat each and every person/deal as if they were our family and that deal was the most important closing in the world. We truly commit to the satisfaction of every one of our clients.
The old adage of “location, location, location” being the most important thing when purchasing a home … do you agree?
Jen Hyatt – First of all let me say that there is a buyer for every property, so if you are concerned about some “challenges” that your property may face, fear not, we will work with you to maximize the positive aspects to potential buyers. That being said, we feel very fortunate to be selling homes in what we feel is one of the most beautiful areas of the whole country, middle Morris County. It’s easy to sell what you love!
What is your favorite part about your job?
Corinne Quinn – That’s easy, it’s not difficult to lose yourself in, marketing, numbers, and the day to day hustle of running a business, and don’t get me wrong, that is certainly part of the job, but it’s the people that matter. When we see the smile on a seller’s face when they got more than they thought for their home, or the tears of joy when a young couple closes on their first home. Those are the truly rewarding parts of the job and are by far the best part.

You are big advocates on being involved in the community – why is that important to you?
Jen Hyatt – It is in one of our tag lines “We love where we work, because it’s our home too.” All seven Team members live within different neighborhoods in Denville. Some of us are still experiencing it, but we have all had the privilege of raising our kids and families in Denville. Attending the local school systems, participating in the recreation and travel sports, marching in the parades through downtown Denville and the many other activities. We cherish the opportunities to share these stories and experiences with current and potential new members of our community.
How has your work changed during the pandemic?
Tim Fisher – We had to change and adapt to safer practices utilizing technology and digital media very quickly. In the beginning and rightfully so, most people were scared. We took this as an opportunity to embrace virtual open houses and more masterfully marketing our listings online. Simply put, this has made the entire Team better and it showed as 2020 was our best sales year ever.
What do you see in the future for your team?
Bill Peer – Our history goes back thirty plus years being very active in Greater Denville. As the Team has continued to grow and we have expanded our cutting edge marketing initiative (most recently Denville Digital Billboard on Route 46) to ensure our client’s houses receive the maximum exposure, you will see The Peer Hyatt Selling Team Brand continue to excel in Greater Denville and throughout Morris County. Our clients will always get our best.
If you weren’t doing real estate, what would you be doing?
Jenifer Zaccardo – All the Team members like interacting with local families, so something that would keep us immersed in that environment. Maybe a school teacher, coffee shop owner or coach, but certainly a Denville resident.
And, of course, we need to know…what is your favorite bite to eat in town?
Bill Peer: eating at the bar in Thatcher’s. Jen Hyatt: La Cucina. Corinne Quinn: Yama Sushi. Tim Fisher: Pasta Shop. Jen Zaccardo: Miga Sushi. Kim Dobbs: Chico’s.
Any last words you’d like to share?
Jen Hyatt – 2020 and the start of 2021 were difficult and challenging years for all of us with the Pandemic, but it was heartwarming to see Denville come together to support each other. We are getting closer to normal and I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for Denville, but rest assured that The Peer Hyatt Selling Team look forward to being there every step of the way…
