A community library has always been a refuge of sorts. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to do homework, need a little bit of reference and research assistance, want to curl up in a chair with a new title, or just need a little bit of comfort, it’s always been a place you can count on to be there for you. Beyond that, a library is so much more than just a place with books.

Be sure to check out…
- The library hosts a variety of classes. Whether it’s kids crafts, learning new skills, or brushing up on old ones, you’ll find a full calendar of events every month for every age, from toddlers to seniors.
- Did you know you can “borrow” museum passes from the library? Plan an adventure day and reserve passes for the Montclair Art Museum, the USS Constitution Museum, the Storm King Art Center, and many more area attractions…it starts with a quick stop at the library (you can even reserve your pass online and print it from home!).
- Have you heard about the Library of Things? Beyond borrowing books and magazines from the library, you can also check out stud finders, VHS converter kits, movie projectors, and much more.
- The library continues to work to best serve the ongoing needs of the community. If you’re interested in their current expansion plans, you can find details, layouts, and schematics on their website as well.
